installationstep one foundation and block, straight forward construction, as would be used for a single storey building. step two building the green oak frame, this is brought to site either in ready made sections or ready to peg together. Frame building usually takes about 3-5 days depending on the size of the frame. The frame is usually left for a couple of weeks to settle before fitting the glass. step three fitting the metal work, the glass clips into a metal ringbeam which is fitted next. This is bolted with adjustable stays to the top of the wood frame as is the light weight aluminium roof frame incorporating the vent. The floor channel/ fascia is bolted to the base and any slots in walls are chased out (one week). step four glass, this is manoeuvred into place by crane and sucker lifter, silicone joints where units butt together and where glass slots into the wall, this is made up with render. Finally the sliding door gear and gutters are fitted. Glass fitting usually takes about two weeks. |
